Harlow Fixture Exchange Phone/PDA Persion

This is an expermental read-only version of the fixture exchange.
We have kept the pages very small for use with a web enabled mobile phone.
For most users the cost of a visit should be low BUT PLEASE CHECK THE TERMS OF YOUR PHONE CONTARACT.
You can view fixtures on offer but to add a fixture use the computer version.
The computer version can be reached via Harlow Rugby Club site www.harlow-rugby.co.uk.
If this facility is used we may expand it in future to a full version of the fixture excahnge

For data downloads you are normally charged per kilobyte of data downloaded not by the time you are online.
Some phone contracts include a free data download quota, check yours.
If you have to pay for download; because we have made the pages very small 500Kb will give you 50 or more page visits maybe even 100
Avoid websites not desiged for phone use, they produce large downloads which are expensive and hard to read on a phone.
If you are not sure of the cost do a small scale test first and then check you bill
If you are a pay as you go phone user find your cost by checking your balance, paying a quick visit to our site and checking again.

At Harlow, in addition to our main website, we have had a phone friendly site for some time.
We wrote it when we realised most members' phones had web access
Mmebers find it very useful when away from their computers.
It is mainly used to pick up urgent information.
Used sensibly the cost can be less than making phone calls or text messages to get the information.
We designed it with very small simple pages so the data will fit on the small screen of a phone and more important the cost will be low.
We used this experience to design the phone fixtures site.
The phone based web site uses the same database as the main main fixture exchange so fixtures should match on both sites.
